SPEEDY is a very universal speed measurement system that you can use in many areas as e.g. speed measurement for cars, motorcycles, skiers, ski jumpers, etc.
The system has very flexible features as:
Measures the time between both photocell impulses and calculates the speed. The Timy S stores up to 17000 speeds and is able to transfer the memory to a PC through the RS 232 interface.

It needs two photocells for a speed measurement. Both are set up with an exact distance to each other (1 to 255 m is possible). The object that you measure must trigger both photocells after another. The speed measurement can be done in both directions, no matter which one is triggered first.
For Alpine Skiing a useful distance is e.g. 10 m. For speed measurement on a road (for cars) we can deliver a mounting platform that has a fix distance of 1 m for both photocells.
It shows the speed on a electromagnetic 7-segment display board. As standard we deliver the display board with 3 figures and 15 cm figure height. The display board has built in a power pack (charger and rechargeable battery), that supplies the complete system.
Alternative you can get also a display board with 25 or 45 cm figure hight. We can also configure the amount of figures up to your need.
