English:  Release Notes for Version 1.25, 99-09-22


To use the OPTIc-Software you need to have Windows 95 B or newer 
installed. Windows 98 or Windows NT does not support the driver 
for the PCI Card used by the OPTIc.

If you have already an older version of the OPTIc on your PC you 
can overwrite this software.

Additional we have a new EPROM for the Distribution Box OCD1. 
This new EPROM has some improvements:
· Support for the ALGE anemometer Windspeed WS1
· The display board interface has now two channels. (one for 
· The final time stays now on the display board until a new 
start dialogue is opened (before until you pressed "finish"
· If you have a finish impulse before the start is did not 
  start the time with the start impulse (you had to press "running 
  GAZ"). Now this problem is fixed.
· It shows you the version number of the EPROM in the "INFO" window.

If you do not use this new EPROM you may not be able to use all
functions of the OPTIc.

OPTIc Version 1.25:

· New Toolbar order with additional orders (camera settings, close 
  window, image cropping)
· Manual input or correction of time is now possible (with ranking).
  In case of a manual input of the time it marks the time with 
  star (*).
· Selection of sport
   - General 
   - Athletic with ALGE anemometer 
   - Athletic without ALGE anemometer 
   - Horse Race 
   - Dog Race 
   - Rowing / Canoe 
   - Cycling
· If you select "Horse Race" it will do the correct rounding for 
  horse races: e.g. 24.1449=24.14; 24.1450=24.15 
· Integration of anemometer Windspeed WS1
  The ALGE anemometer WS1 works automatically if you select 
  "Athletic with ALGE anemometer". It gives the anemometer the 
  commands for the correct measuring time through the interface 
  and reads automatically the wind speed. If you make a new race 
  you have to select the distance and the OPTIc software will 
  operate the anemometer automatically after IAAF laws. 
· Manual input or correction of the wind speed is now possible. In 
case of a manual input of the wind speed is marked with a star (*)
· Correction of brightens, contrast and gamma factor is after the
  race possible
· It is possible to correct only the upper or lower part of the 
  picture with brightens, contrast, and gamma factor. This function
  is important if you have e.g. the half finish in the shade, the 
  other half in the sun.
· You can print cropped pictures
· It is now not possible to start the OPTIc two times on the same 
  PC. If you did this in the previous version it had a program 
  crash. 
· It shows now the running time in the start dialogue with bigger
  figures.


Corrections from Version 1.23:

· The English version did not support the data transfer to the COM 
  port of the entry list.
· The start time and date was not imported into the race. This 
  problem is corrected.
· The same time was printed over each over in the picture.
· The race number counts only up if you open a new race (not if you
  open a existing race).
· Prepared races did not keep all information. This is now 
  corrected.

Für die OPTIc-Software wird Windows 95 B oder neuer benötigt. 
Windows 98 oder Windows NT funktioniert nicht, da der Treiber 
für die PCI-Karte des OPTIc nicht unterstützt wird.

Wenn Sie den OPTIc schon auf Ihrem PC installiert haben, dann 
können Sie die neuer Version einfach darüber installieren.

Zusätzlich gibt es ein neues EPROM für die Distribution Box. 
Dieses neue EPROM hat einige Verbesserungen:
· Unterstützung für den Windmesser
· Ausgang für Großanzeigetafel mit Kanal 1 und 2 
  (laufende Zeit / stehende Zeit) durch verdrehen des Steckers 
  um 180°
· Die Zielzeit wird jetzt angezeigt bis man ein neues Rennen 
  (Startdialog) öffnet (vorher wurde die Zeit nach "Beenden" nicht 
  mehr angezeigt)
· Durch einen Zielimpuls vor dem Start kann die Zeit nicht stehen 
  bleiben wenn der Start erfolgt (Fehler, daß die Zeit nach dem 
  Start auf 0 stehen bleibt und erst läuft durch "GAZ weiter".
· Angabe der Versionsnummer im "Info" Fenster


OPTIc Version 1.25:

· Neue Reihenfolge bei der Toolbar mit zusätzlichen Befehlen
  (Kameraeinstellung, Aktuelles Fenster schließen, Bild 
  ausschneiden)
· Manuelle Eingabe oder Korrektur der Zeit (Zeit wird auf 
  Sinnhaftigkeit überprüft). Eine manuelle Eingabe wird immer 
  mit Stern (*) gekennzeichnet.
· Auswahl der Sportarten
   - Allgemein
   - Leichtathletik mit ALGE Windmesser
   - Leichtathletik ohne ALGE Windmesser
   - Pferdesport
   - Hunderennen
   - Rudern / Kanu
   - Rad
· Bei Pferdesport wird die Zeit nach Vorschrift gerundet 
  (z.B.: 24.1449=24.14; 24.1450=24.15 )
· Integration des ALGE Windmessers Windspeed WS1:
  Der Windmesser funktioniert automatisch, wenn Sie "Leichtathletik
  mit ALGE Windmesser" auswählen. Beim öffnen von einem Rennen muß 
  man die Renndistanz eingeben und somit funktioniert der #
  Windmesser komplett automatisch nach IAAF Regeln.
· Die Daten des Windmessers können über die Tastatur korrigiert 
  oder eingegeben werden. Eine händische Eingabe wird immer mit 
  Stern (*) markiert.
· Ein nachträgliches Korrigieren von Helligkeit, Kontrast und 
  Gamma ist jetzt möglich.
· Man kann nur den oberen oder unteren Bildteil mit Helligkeit,
  Kontrast und Gamma bearbeiten. Diese Funktion wird dann benötigt,
wenn die Ziellinie z.B. halb im Schatten liegt.
· Man kann jetzt auch Bildausschnitte drucken
· Die laufende Zeit wird jetzt im Startfenster größer angezeigt.


Korrekturen gegenüber der Version 1.23:

· In der englische Version waren die Menübefehle, für 
  Listenübertragung und Auswertung übertragen über die COM
  nicht eingetragen.
· Die Startzeit und das Datum wurden nicht mehr übernommen. Dieses
  Problem wurde korrigiert.
· Gleiche Zeit auf Bildausdruck ineinander geschrieben beseitigt. 
· Laufnummer nur bei Rennen neu erhöht. 
· Bei vorbereiteten Rennen, welche nachträglich geladen worden sind,
  wurden nicht alle Daten übernommen. Dieses Problem ist korrigiert.

To use the OPTIc-Software you need to have Windows 95 B or newer installed.

News of the Version 1.23
- Print function to print pictures of the Fotofinish with time and time bar
- The output of the interface "display board" has now two channels (if you 
  use the newest EPROM Version V99.73. Channel 1 is the running time, 
  channel 2 is only the stop time. You switch the channel by rotating the 
  plug at the OCD1 180 degrees. On channel 2 you can now also use a protocol
  printer (Printer P4A).
- You can now output the results to the COM interface (1 or 2) of the PC. 
  There are two possibilities for this function:
  * Automatic output when you register a time in the list
  * Output of the complete list when you give the command

Error Correction from the old release:
- Installation did not work on some Windows 95 B Versions. This is 
  corrected and the OPTIc should work now on all Windows 95B systems.
- Correction of zoom offset.
- Correction of error command if you had no printer installed.
- Sometimes it showed no picture if you opened a old race (picture 0/1).
  This problem is now solved and corrected.
- Sometimes you could not open an old picture, because a wrong variable 
  was set. This problem is now corrected.

Für die OPTIc-Software wird Windows 95 B oder neuer benötigt. Windows 98
oder Windows NT funktioniert nicht, da der Treiber für die PCI-Karte des 
OPTIc nicht unterstützt wird.


Neu in Version 1.23: 
- Drucken von Bildern mit Zeit und Zeitlineal
- Die Ausgabe über den Anschluß "Display Board" hat jetzt zwei separate 
  Kanäle. Kanal 1 wird weiterhin wie bisher die Großanzeigetafel steuern 
  (laufende Zeit). Kanal 2 zeigt auf der Großanzeigetafel die stehende 
  Zeit (nur gestoppte Zeiten) oder man kann einen Protokolldrucker 
  (Printer P4A) anschließen.
- Man kann jetzt die Daten der Ergebnisliste über die serielle Schnittstelle
  des PC ausgeben (COM 1 oder 2). Es gibt zwei Möglichkeiten für die Ausgabe 
  dieser Daten:
  * Ausgabe automatisch wenn die Zeit in die Liste übertragen wird:
    <ANZEIGEN> und <RESULTAT ZUR COM>
  * Ausgabe der kompletten Ergebnisliste auf Befehl:
    <ANZEIGEN> und <GANZE LISTE ZUR COM>

Fehlerbehebung von der vorigen Version:
- Die Installation hat auf einigen Windows 95 B Versionen nicht funktioniert. 
  Die fehlenden Treiber wurden jetzt ergänzt und die Installation sollte 
  problemlos funktionieren.
- Ein Fehler im Zoom-Offset wurde korrigiert.
- Es gab eine Fehlermeldung wenn man den OPTIc ohne installierten Printer 
  gestartet hat. Dies ist beseitigt.
- Manchmal wurde kein Bild von einem alten, gespeicherten Rennen angezeigt.
  Es wurde auch als Bild Nummer 0/1 gezeigt. Durch drücken der Pfeiltaste ist
  dann das Bild 1/1 erschienen. Dieser Fehler ist behoben. Es wird jetzt immer
  Bild 1 automatisch gezeigt.
- Manchmal konnte ein gespeichertes Rennen nicht mehr angezeigt werden. Es 
  wurde eine falsche Variable gespeichert. Der Fehler ist korrigiert.

To install the OPTIc version 1.2 you need Windows 95 B or a newer version (correct OLE automatic).

News of the Version 1.2
- You can make competitor lists
- You can print start lists
- You can print result lists (by rank, lane, or start number)
- You can print the pictures (at the moment without the time information)
- The time line you can move with the cursor key. It will also update the zoom picture.
- You cannot make a stop impulse until two seconds after the start

Error Correction from the old release:
- You must change the EPROM of the Distribution Box OCD1
- It will show you the winners time correct on the display board if you change the EPROM
- If you use <Recording concatenating> it did not show the last part of the picture

Informationen über die neue OPITc Version 1.2

Voraussetzung: Windows 95 B für korrekte OLE Automation

Neu in Version 1.2: 
- Erstellen von Bewerbslisten
- Drucken von Startlisten
- Drucken von Ergebnislisten (nach Rang geordnet)
- Drucken von Ergebnislisten (nach Bahn geordnet)
- Drucken von Ergebnislisten (nach Startnummer geordnet)
- Drucken von Bildern (noch ohne Zeitinformation)
- Wird der Zeitstrich mit der Cursor-Taste verschoben, dann wird auch das Zoom neu gezeichnet
- Es kann kein Stoppimpuls bis zwei Sekunden nach dem Start erfolgen


Fehlerbehebung von der vorigen Version:
- Es muß das EPROM in der Distribution Box OCD1 gewechselt werden
- Die Siegerzeit auf der Großanzeigetafel wird nach dem EPROM-Wechsel korrekt angezeigt
- Bei <Aufnahme zusammenhängend> wurde das letzte Teilbild nicht angezeigt
